I just had to post about my Mom. I'm so blessed to have the most amazing mom. In the past 6 weeks she has helped me through a very though time with my surgery. She has taken care of Chase and made everything as perfect as it could be. I feel like I don't tell her enough that she is AMAZING and very LOVED. Chase is just in love with his Nana. She lights up his world. Everyday whether that be on the phone or in person. She is absolutely beautiful on the inside and outside. Thanks Mom for everything that you do...You enrich our life and my family everyday..

It been so long since I have done a Chase Baby update. He is just doing great. He is so full or life and on occasion he loves to show me his naughty 3 year old side. Within the past 3 weeks he has moved into a big boy bed and is potty trained. He just thinks big boy underwear is the coolest thing ever. It actually kind of hard to get him to wear anything other then a shirt and underwear. He is just growing and changing so much. He has been on the slower side with talking. Well now he doesn't really ever stop talking. He talks really fast like his daddy and a lot of the time he is hard to understand. Since I'm around him all day I seem to have it down. He is getting such a kick off of talking on the phone to his Nana, Papa and Daddy. Every time either one of them calls he has to answer the phone first and talk. It's really cute! He loves to tell them that he "misses them" and "hearts them" It's enough to just melt your heart. Most of the time his smile is so huge and he is blushing. He also just loves his Auntie April. He doesn't get to see her very often but when he talks about her he is just in Love!!!! He calls April his "BUD" and again totally blushes. He is going to be starting pre-school in September. How the time flies. That whole thought just makes Mommy really nervous and I wounder where my baby has gone! (LOL) He is so loving and caring. All and all he is a heart melter. He really likes to be in charge, have everything the way he likes it, and put in the right order and place. We call him the "Little General" This age is so funny because from day to day he is changing and I'm not sure what to expect the next day...It's all just so much fun :) I need to get my back and body healthy and strong so that in the future he can boss around a sibling. (No I'm not Prego, just an FYI) I could go one for hours about him and what he does on a daily basis but I better stop there.

2nd Back Surgery

Where do I even begin. The last 4 months have kind of been crazy. The past year I have really been struggling with my back again. It's been going in and out and totally laying me up. After many doctors appointments and visits to the ER it was determined that I needed surgery again. I had two disk my L3-L4 and L4-L5 that had completely ruptured and broke off into my spinal column. Well needless to say I was very unhappy and in a ton of pain. Crawling was the most comfortable position for me. On April 12th I went in for surgery. I was in the hospital for 2 night and 3 full days. Ouch was an understatement on how I was feeling. The Surgeon removed 80% of one disk, 50% of the other, and just over a pound of muscle and bone at was around those disks on pushing on my spinal nerves. Recovery I was told was 8 weeks minimum. I was having a hard time believing that a first but I started to understand very quickly. The whole process has been BRUTAL! It's been 6 weeks and I'm still very uncomfortable and unable to bend or move around a lot. Everyday I'm making progress but it's at turtle speed. On June 9th I have another follow up appointment and at that time they will do more x-rays and I'm really hoping that I'm cleared to start physical therapy. I'm still unable to drive or do anything that takes a lot of energy. I know that this surgery will be totally worth it but it's hard to always keep a positive attitude. I was watching Zumba the other night on TV and I'm just hoping in the near future I will be able to dance again. I really enjoy working out and dancing. Sure can't do that yet! Some days I really struggle with being so young and being in so much pain. I know it will all come around in time. I have been very blessed with an amazing family and husband. I couldn't have gotten this far without them. My parents have been here 2 different time for over a total over 3 weeks. Lindsey and Blake VanOtten came down for a full week and took care of me. Love them all very much :) Chase has also been a total trooper. He like is play pretend doctor with me and make me feel better. The picture I have attached shows all the work on my back that you can see from the outside. I got to see the inside view on x-rays and that was horrible to see. Since this picture the staples have all been removed and it really looks a lot better. I'm still wearing the brace that goes around my middle/lower back and stomach area. I have at least a couple more week with that. It's great to get in the pool and let my body feel weightless and relax. After I see the Doctor in June I will hopefully have a positive update.

Chase Update

Life gets so busy and I can't believe that it has been so long since I have updated my blog. I really don't have a good excuse except I'm chasing around a very busy 2 1/2 year old. It's hard to put into words what an amazing little boy Chase is becoming. He is such a lovable, smart, messy, busy, well pretty much perfect little boy. He has been pretty slow to talk. Well in the past 2 months he has really come a long way. He is still hard to understand because he talks soooo fast like his Dad but he is really showing progress. He doesn't like to take anytime out of his busy day and sit down to eat. He likes to take a bit then run and play. He then comes back around for a bit every minute or so. In the past month he has learned to ride his trike. Nick never thought he was going to learn or show interest. Then one day he got on and is cruising everywhere. He loves to play outside and roll in sand. He absolutely loves his Dad. He loves to wrestle and play on him all the time. I could go on for hours about Chase. Hope you enjoy all the photos.. It's a good way to see his little personality.

Thanksgiving with my Family

This year was your parents turn to visit the Desert for Thanksgiving. It was so much fun to spend time with my parents. My Brother wasn't able to make it this year and he was missed. We invited our old neighbors Victor and Ellen to join us. The week was a little bit cooler then normal but it was still gorgeous. It didn't seem to hold the guys back from playing golf 3 days. I just feel so grateful to have such an amazing family and husband. Every year I think back about how luck we all are to have each other. It's so much fun to have our own little family and start making some of our own traditions. Since we have moved to Arizona the time that we share with family is so special and I try to enjoy every minute of it. Here are a couple pictures from Thanksgiving. Chase just can't seem to get enough of his Nana and Papa. He still talks about them visiting everyday and wondering why they left. He thinks they left to go and get George (my parents dog), check on the boat, play in the snow with boots on. It's so fun to hear Chase talk about what he thinks is going on......

Vegas Girls Getaway and Lady Gaga Concert

I just got home from an awesome girls weekend in Vegas. It was the first time that I have left Chase over night with his Daddy. The boys did great. We went to see the Lady Gaga concert and it was so awesome. It was sold out and she played at the MGM. Over 17,000 people. She puts on a very good show with all the different props and costumes. Highly recommend going to see her if you get the chance. We did some pool time, relaxing, shopping, had our makeup done at MAC, yummy restaurants, and cocktails. On Saturday night we went and saw Jersey Boys. It was about Frankie Valli and the 4 seasons. It was awesome!!! Also highly recommend going to see that show. Really fun weekend but I was ready to get home and see my boys. I misses them both very much. I have an amazing husband that treated me to such a great getaway. Thanks Nick! Love you :)

Ponderosa Pines Camping Trip

We have been planning on taking a family camping trip over the 4th of July for the past couple of months. SOOOO looking forward to getting out of the 116 degree temps that have hit AZ. We love going up North about 20 miles outside of Payson AZ. It's only about a 90 min drive. Long story short our Motor Home (the HOG) wasn't wanting to run very well. We went to pick it up out of storage on Wednesday night and ir didn't make it home. Luckily Nick made it to an Auto Zone. Over the next 2 days we found out that it needed a new alternator and fuel pump. YUCK!!!!!! It wasn't finished until later Friday night so we didn't end up leaving until Saturday Morning. Which was going to make out camping trip a total of about 35 hours because Nick had to work Monday Morning. But let me tell you it was soooo worth it. It was in the mid 80's and love 50's at night. It was so beautiful and a perfect little break from this horrible heat. We went on a couple of awesome hikes and Chase LOVES the motor home and camping. It was so peaceful and perfect to spend time together as a family. Nick has been very busy with work. He worked over 65 hours that week leaded up to this trip. So we loved having his time and attention :) Despite all the $, problems, and Headaches that the HOG gives us it was a ton of fun. I forgot our camera on the hikes but at least I got a couple of pictures :)

We took Chase to see Sesame Street Live. He was in Heaven. He is just in love to Elmo and all the Sesame Street characters. It was at the Mesa Art Center, which is a totally awesome building and location. We went last Wednesday and he is still talking about it everyday at least 4 or 5 times. It's so fun to have him at this age where he is starting to enjoy going to shows and interacting with new things one a different level. He sat for 90 mins in totally awwwww and just clapped. So fun :)

My Amazing Dad

I just have to take a minute and write a huge thank you to my DAD!!! I'm so blessed to have the worlds best Dad. He is such a thoughtful, caring, loving, smart, and ETC.. I could go on forever. He has always been an amazing dad to our family. Ever since little Chase has been born he has showed a new side of him. He has always just loved little children. He loves to play with them and he takes so much time to make children feel so special and loved. On my first x-mas he gave me a set of plans for my play house. My play house isn't just a normal little thing. It's got two levels, with carpet, tile, electricity, a kitchen, and all the bells and whistle. My mom just sent me some pictures of what he has been working on. He put up a new little white fence, a new teeter tooter for Chase and new sand to play in. I want more then anything to run over and huge him and thank him. Chase is so lucky to have such a special PAPA! Chase loves Papa in a very special way. Thanks DAD for all the special things you do to enrich our lives. It's also an awesome addition to your yard. I just loved helping you build that playhouse when I was little. I know Chase is going to have a lot of good memories in there as well. Thanks for being you :)

Some Big Changes

Our little Chase turned 2 on March 4th. I can't believe it's been 2 year already. I have been so bad with updating our blog in the past 6 months. We have been so busy with company and house/yard stuff. I know that is a lame excuse but it's the truth! I just had to write about Chase today. He hasn't been much of a talker yet in the way of using his words. He uses his face expressions for everything instead of talking. Well yesterday it was like someone turned a switch on him. He's trying to talk soooo much more and doing a great job at it. He was sitting in his highchair coloring in his Sesame Street book and he pointed at Big Bird and said it perfect. It made me tear up, I was sooo proud of him. It's hard to understand everything he is saying but oh my gosh it's so cute. I so struggle some days with living away from family and our close friends. I have so much I want to share in our daily life that I just can't. Chase is one of those toddlers that can bring a smile to any ones face at anytime. He is such a little flirt and showoff when he is comfortable. Currently his very favorite thing is Basketball. OMG he always has little basketballs in his hands. He likes to take them in the crib at night when he goes to sleep. The Ellerbeck's got him a small basketball hoop for his Birthday and he drags that around the house all the time. You can imagine this makes Nick really happy. Son + Basketball = perfect in Nicks eyes. It's awesome! Everything with Nick and I are going really well. Nick is doing great at work and still working a lot. I'm just loving being a Mom and love that I can stay home with Chase and enjoy everyday with him. I feel so blessed! Looking forward to the summer this year because of the pool. I usually start to get kind of grumpy after the end of May but this summer is going to be awesome. We're hoping that Chase will like the pool more this season. Love and miss you all. Hope all is going well :)

Chase is almost 2...Finally an update

I thought I better get myself into gear and update our blog. Life in the past month has been kind of crazy. Poor little Chase caught a horrible stomach virus that ended him up in 2 different hospitals and a totally of 3 nights. He was so sick! He was sick for over 9 straight days and it took a totally of 14 days to get back to somewhat normal. The virus actually shut down his digestive track and intestines. He wasn't able to keep any food or fluid down. He was put on nothing but IV fluid for 40 hours. It was so hard to watch him suffer so much. Honestly, I haven't ever been so emotionally drained in my whole life. Both Nick and I also caught the virus but it only lasted about 24 hrs for us. It was so great that Nick was so strong because I really needed that. The good thing is that it's over and he is doing great. He is changing everyday. He is so much fun and so adorable. He is the worlds biggest flirt. He is starting to talk more. He still isn't saying a ton but he has about 12 words that he is saying really well. He communicates so much with his body language and eyes. We're just so lucky to have been blessed with such an amazing little guy. He will brighten up any ones day and make you smile. It's really hard to be firm with him on certain things because he makes me laugh. He loves the park and running around outside in the beautiful AZ weather. I could honestly go on and on for hours about him and his daily life. Here are some recent pictures. Love you all

My Parents just came to visit last week. It was so nice to have them around. Chase is just so in love with his Nana and Papa. When there around it's hard to not see him smiling the whole time. Nick was able to take some time away from work and enjoy golfing with my Dad. We had a blast! We went to the mall and had some pictures taken of Chase (those will follow later) he was so cute. He also picked out a stuffed animal Tiger that Papa got him. He sleeps with it every night. It also has to go in the car with him everywhere. Thanks Mom and Dad for coming and spending time with us. Chase had a blast on Halloween. It was perfect weather! Once the sun went down it was in the mid 70's. Perfect for trick er treating :) He was all over the place. He went to the neighbors house about 6 times and kept taking their Halloween decorations off their porch. Chase just had his 18 month check up. He is getting so big so fast. He is 26 pounds 3ounces 45% in weight and 33 1/4 inches 80% in height. He is a tall lien machine. He is just so full of life. He still isn't talking much but he sure has figured out how to communicate in other ways. He is a joy and a gift to be around everyday. XOXO

We went to Bear Lake for a nice little vacation. Nick was only able to join us for a nice 4 day weekend. He has been working so much so we we're so happy to have him for 4 days :) Bear Lake is my happy place. It's so very special to me and my family. Chase is 17 months and loving life. We couldn't believe how much fun he had. He was game for everything. He was in love with the Gator (4 wheeler) swing, slide, boat, George, Nana, Papa, Daddy, and yes the tube. I was a little nervous to put in behind the boat on the inter tub but he giggled the whole time. He took huge naps because he was so exhausted from playing so hard. We enjoyed boating, wake boarding and the company. I was also able to take an awesome ride on the wave runners with my Dad. The lake was like a sheet of glass and we had a blast. It was a Tuesday morning and we had the lake to ourselves. I can't wait to go back. We we're both in awwww with Chase and how happy he was. Thanks so much Mom and Dad for the perfect trip. Thanks for all the yummy cooking and way good drinks. We love you guys very much :)

Packing, Teething, Moving, Heat, Overtime

It's been a long time since I have updated our Blog. Sorry :) Life has been a little crazy and busy. We started looking for a new home just over 4 months ago. We were looking for either a short sale or foreclosure. We thought it would be a good time to make a set up and get a larger house with a pool. Well to kind of summarize the whole experience. It wasn't very pleasant and a major learning experience, but in the end we ended up getting a wonderful family home. We LOVE it! Nick has been working over 60 hour weeks and traveling up to Seattle to help out on a couple different projects. Trying to pack up a house with a 1 year old isn't an easy task. Chase baby has been teething the past 3 weeks. He is trying to get in his Molars. OUCH!!! Poor little guy. When I started packing up everything and changing everything that he was comfortable with it just made him more un-happy. Nicks mom came down the week before we moved and helped get me/us organized. She was a huge help. He helped with Chase, cleaning, and boxing stuff up. Thanks again Debby. It was a fun time to share with you :) Nick came back in town on Friday night around 7:30 and we moved first thing on Saturday morning. My parents came in town on Friday as well. We couldn't have done the move without them. It was 115 that day and soooo Damn hot. My Dad kept saying that he hasn't ever felt anything like it. Everyone was such troopers. We didn't stop until everything was moved out of the house. My Mom helped so much with Chase. She took him for a couple different car rides and morning walks on moving day so that I didn't have to worry about him and I could just work. For the next couple of days my parents just helped unpack and get everything put together. It's only been a week in our new home and we fill pretty put together. Thanks again Mom and Dad for all your help. We can't really put into words on how much you helped us. It was amazing and sooo much fun to spend and share that time with you both. Even if it was 115 the whole time. We really hope we have some visitors this fall. Pool and Margaritas for all. XOXOXOXOX

We spent Memorial Day Weekend up in Northern AZ. We meet some of our friends there and got out of the heat. Chase had so much fun running around in the mountains and pine trees. Nick has been working so much so it was awesome to spend 3 full days together as a family. It's only 2 hours and 15 mins from our house. We're going to go back soon.

I had such a nice Mothers Day. Nick made me an awesome breakfast and dinner and spoiled me all day. He has been working so much, so it was just nice to spend the day with my boys. We spent the afternoon at Victor and Ellen's house (our neighbors)We enjoyed Bloody Mary's and kicking back at the pool. I just feel so blessed to be the mother to such an amazing little boy. At the last minute we decided to join the Ellerbeck's, Casper's, and Atkin's for a weekend camping trip at Lone Rock. It was great to see everyone and catch up. We went for a great boat ride to explore Lake Powell. It's our favorite place ever. It was weird being there without the Miller's. We missed them a lot. Hopefully next they can join us. It was Scott's birthday on Saturday so we helped him celebrate with a lot of Tequila :) Chase also helped him open presents, one of his favorite things to do. Thanks for the trip it was fun!!!!

Made a mess all day with this box. He loves his new Easter Bunny. When you turn it on, Chase dances with it. It's so cute!

Chase got a very special surprise in the mail from Nana Jager. He got an Easter Basket with ALOT of confetti paper included. He just had so much fun ripping the box open and trying to eat the confetti paper. He loved the confetti the most at first. As the day went on he started to play with all the toys and bunny that were inside. My mom has always made Easter very special. It's a traditional that I want to continue with Chase and my own family. Thanks for the special Easter Basket Nana! We love and Miss you :)

The Ellerbeck's came into town for the Easter weekend and April's Birthday. We had a great time. We spent April's B-day on Saturday at our favorite hang out spot, The Monastery. It's an outside Bar and Grill. We enjoyed the weather, burgers, beers, volleyball, family, and friends. We invited a bunch of our friends to help April celebrate. It was a lot of fun. Chase had a great time. He is such a flirt with all the ladies. He just walked around and flirted for 3 hours until he was tired and ready to go home. On Easter we eat a later breakfast and went for a walk. Later in the day we went up to Canyon Lake and enjoyed the beautiful day. Nick was the only one that was brave enough to get in the cold water. I would have joined him except I can't wake board for about 3 more months because of my back surgery. Chase developed a crush on his Grandpa Scott. He just loved playing with him and happy screaming at him. It was really cute to see them bond together. Thanks for making the trip. We had a good time :) Love you guys

Last weekend we took a short trip to Dumont Sand Dunes. It's on the Border or Death Valley just outside of Baker Ca. We meet the Ellerbeck's. One the way there we had some crazy strong wing. Gusts over 40 mph and to add to that our awning on the Motor home decided to half way open while we were driving. For about 45 mins both Nick and I were on the roof trying to fix it and holding on for dear life. Finally a nice couple stopped and helped us put the awning back together. Then we were on the way. 2out of the 4 days we had great weather. It was fun to see everybody. Nick loves riding with his family and spraying them with sand. Chase loved the quads and all the buggies. Dumont has the most amazing buggies. There everywhere you look! It's so fun to watch them drive around. The drive ended up being about 7 1/2 hours with stops. Chase did very well for a very active 1 year old. He doesn't like to sit for long so the car seat has been a bit of a challenge. But he did great! Thanks for the great weekend Ellerbeck's :)

I can't believe it's been a year since we welcomed Chase baby into our life's. When I was putting together this slide show and looked back at the 100's of pictures I was just overwhelmed with happiness. Becoming a parents has been the most amazing this for both Nick and I. We have been blessed with such a happy, loving, and healthy boy. I could go on for hours about Chase and what a special little guy he is. He has gone through so many changes the 1st year and it's so fun to watch him accomplish new milestones. My only complaint is that he's growing up tooooo fast. Hope you enjoy looking back over the past year as much as I did. We love you Chase!!! Happy 1st Birthday.

How Suite!!!!

For my Grandpa Jager's 85th birthday my parents got a Jazz Suite. They got the whole Jager family together to enjoy a night of great food, company, and of course the Utah Jazz. They played the New Orlean Hornet's and won!! My Grandpa has always had a great love for the Jazz. I honestly think he was in heaven that night. It was so great to be with the family. We had a special visit from the Jazz Bear. He set off a confetti bomb and sprayed sticky string through out the suite. It was a very fun mess. Chase wasn't crazy about the bear, as you can see in the picture below. Chase did pretty well. He fell asleep about 1/2 way through the game. I was amazed he could sleep through the noise. THANKS MOM AND DAD FOR THE AWESOME NIGHT!!! We love you very much

Valentines Day this year is one to remember. Chase officially started walking at 11 1/2 months. It's the cutest thing ever. He walks with his arm straight out and takes little fast steps. He is really moving. This has opened a whole new chapter of being a Mom for me. He wants to be walking and moving consistanly. We have had to ChildProof our house. He is very interested in the cats food and little box. We had to move everything into the laundry room and put up a gate. Nick made a hole in the gate for the cats but we couldn't make it too big or Chase would figure a way to make it through the opening. He is very curious about everything. It's just amazing how fast he is growing up. Nick surprised me with a babysitter for Chase. We went out for a couple of hours to Dos Gringos. We enjoyed sitting on the patio and spending some alone time together. Thanks Lisa for watching Chase!!!! I'm very lucky to have 2 very special Valentine's. Love you both very much XOXOXOXOX

Fun week with the Millers

We had such a great time with the Millers. We first meet them in Parker AZ for a desert race that Dustin was racing in. It was amazing to see all the cars and fancy rigs. The noise and all the cars were a little bit overwhelming for Chase so we spent a good part of Saturday in the Motorhome, but we had a front row spot so we could see the action from inside. The Shupes also joined us. It was great to see Ang, Buddy and the twins. So adorable!! When all the fun was over, we packed up and headed back to Mesa. The Millers followed. So Fun!!! We had a fun filled week. We went to the Phoenix Zoo, Children's Museum,playing at the park, Dinner at Salty Senorita, and dinners at each others houses (well one Motorhome). Chase had so much fun playing with Ian and Dane. Wish we lived closer so we could do more of this stuff. We love you guys! Thanks for the awesome week :)

This last month has been so much fun and full of changes. I thought I would put together some pictures of Chase from the past month before he turns 11 months. He is just growing up so fast and loving life. He went from having 3 teeth to 7 in about 3 weeks. He loves to open his mouth and scrunch his face and show off his pearly whites. He hilarious! Just 4 days ago he figured out how to sit up from laying down. Due to this change every time I go in to get him out of his crib he is sitting up of standing up ready to take on the world (even in the middle of the night). This has also helped his figure out the whole crawling this a lot more. He is cruising and walking along everything. It's hard to get him to sit down. He is so busy all day long. His newest thing is a happy very loud scream. When you sit or walk by him he screams and smiles. It's very loud and cute! He is turning into a major Momma's boy. He isn't as crazy about other people holding him right now. He loves to flirt and socialize from Mom's arms. He loves Girls. Every time we go out he finds a new girl to flirt with. This past week my Mom was able to come down and spend a week with us. It was so much fun to have Nana around. Chase absolutely loves her and loves to give her loves. We're so lucky that she wants and is able to spend this special time with us. It's really hard sometimes being in AZ and not having family and friends around to see Chase grow and change. With her being able to spend a week with us and in Chase's comfortable place, he really opens up and eats her up. Thanks Mom for making the trip and spending the time with us. We miss you already! Chase keeps looking around all the corners and rooms for his Nana.

10 months! How time flies

I was just thinking today about how time flies. I can't believe it has been 10 months since Chase joined our family. It's been an amazing 10 months. He is just such a happy and fun baby. He is so full of it and has so much personality. He is really starting to get around. He is crawling, well at least doing the army crawl and rolling everywhere. He loves to stand and walk around/along everything. We actually have a hard time sometimes getting him to sit down. He loves to walk with our help. He has been teething for the past month. He is trying to get his 4 top teeth at the same time. Finally his top right tooth broke through last week. I feel bad for the little guy because there isn't much I can do to help him. Grand Total 3 teeth so far. I would imagine within the next couple weeks we will have 3 more to add to that number(at least we hope). I just wanted to share a couple of pictures of him after we woke up from his 2 hour nap. He was loving life!!! Love and miss you all.

What a perfect first Christmas with Chase Baby and Family. With this being Chase's first Christmas we decided to stay home for the actual holiday and spend it together as a family. It was so much fun to have a little guy to spend it with. I'm so lucky to have such a perfect husband and baby boy. We cooked a yummy steak dinner and enjoyed each others company. On x-mas day we opened presents and went over to our neighbor's house for an early dinner. Chase loved ripping open all the boxes and presents. He was so much fun!!! We feel very lucky to be blessed with such a fun and happy baby. The day after x-mas we started our adventure to SLC to visit family and friends. We split the driving up into two days. Chase did awesome in the car. He never even cried or really complained! It was amazing. The first part of the trip we spent with the Ellerbeck family. It was great to spend time with them. Chase got to enjoy his 2nd x-mas.. Oh did he get spoiled. We went bowling and hung out. The boys and April got to enjoy snowboarding. I couldn't join in this year because I needed to give my back time to completely recover. There is always next year. We then packed up and went over to my parents house for the rest of the trip. Where Chase got to enjoy his 3rd x-mas. Once again he was spoiled. Lucky Baby!!! We had a great time. We spent time enjoying family and friends. We had some people over to watch the Utes completely dominate Alabama in the Rose Bowl. It was so Awesome. Way to go Utes!!! We had such a nice time in SLC. It always sad to leave. Thanks to my parents and the Ellerbeck's for putting us up and making everything so nice and comfortable. We really appreciated everything that you did. One the way home we went through St. George and spent the night at my Grandparents home. Thanks Grandma and Grandpa. Chase got sick for the first time on the way home and still was such a trooper in the car. He is starting to feel better. He has a bacteria infection in his mouth and is really teething. Poor little guys! Thanks again to everyone that made this Holiday Season so perfect :)

Thanksgiving with the Jager's

Happy Baby on 1st Thanksgiving. Chase had a great time enjoying his first turkey day. The boys played golf and the girls cooked. Dinner went great! I think it was the best yet. We also enjoyed the company of our neighbors Victor and Ellen. I'm very thankful for having such a wonderful family. It was so nice to spent a week with them. Chase loves having them around!

Chase is really enjoying his sweet potato's! Yummy.. Thanks Mom for spending so much time with Chase. He is really eating a lot better. You must have the magic touch or great timing.

It was Nick's Birthday on Tuesday the 28th. He turned 28 :) It was such a beautiful day on his birthday and we decided to spend the afternoon on the lake. He was able to wakeboard and waterski. Not bad for November. It was in the mid 80's and perfect. On Wednesday we left Chase with a babysitter for the first time (other then Grandma's)and sneaked a way to Dinner. We went to an italian restuarant Anzio Landing. It's on the runway of Falcon Field Airport, across the street from Boeing. It's neat when you're eating dinner there are planes landing and taking off. There food is awesome. It was very nice to be able to spend the evening with just Nick and relax. We both felt very weird to be out without Chase. It's the first time we have been out to a nice restaurant since he was born!!! It was nice to get back home and see him though...HAPPY BIRTHDAY LOVER!!!! WE LOVE YOU VERY MUCH XOXOXOXOXOX

It was Chase's first Halloween. He was a Monkey. We thought that would be perfect because he is so active and likes to Monkey around. It was a different Halloween because it was 90 degrees at 6:30 so we only went to about 8 houses. We didn't want the little man to over heat! We got home and handed out candy for the rest of the night. It was a really fun night. Having kids really makes these Holidays a lot more fun again. It's great!!!!

Awesome Apache Lake Trip

We spent the weekend up at Apache Lake. It's 38 miles from our house. In order to get to this lake you have to take a dirt road for about 11 miles to get there. You have to go through a part that is called Fish Hill. A little scary to pull a boat up and down. It's a one lane dirt road that is pretty much on the mountain cliff. You have to stop and put your cover on your boat before you get on the dirt road or your boat fills with dust. Because of this the lake isn't very busy. We decided it's our new favorite lake. It's so beautiful and the water is so smooth. It's 17 miles long and has a lot of cool coves and sandy beaches. We stayed at the Motel (a little ghetto, but fun). They have a great restaurant and bar right by the water. We went with our friends Aaron and Meg. Chase did great. If he just didn't have to wear his life jacket he would love boating. Every time we take him it's getting easier. He is such a good baby! We had such a great weekend and we're looking forward to going back soon.

Lake Mead Fall Trip

We went to Lake Mead with the Ellerbeck's over UEA. It was a great trip! The weather was so perfect. It was the first trip for our Motor Home and it did awesome. It was so much fun to have our own place :)Chase did great also. It was his first camping/boating trip. For only being 7 months old he was perfect. One the drive home we were afraid that he was going to be shocked for life because he was in his car seat for so long. He did great until the last hour, he was pretty tired of the whole thing. It was a small group this time. It was only Ellerbeck's. It was very relaxing and beautiful. They set up the water ski course and have a great time skiing. Chase is in love with Auntie Ape. He just looks at her with love eyes and wants to touch her. It's so cute! It was great to spend 4 days with Nick. He has been working so much, a lot of overtime. Both Chase and I just loved having him around. We didn't want to see him go back to work on Monday morning :( Thanks Scott, Debby and April for the awesome trip. It was a lot of fun!!!!!

Fast 7 Months

Chase just turned 7 months old. I can't believe how fast the time has gone. He is turning into a very active and happy little boy. He is sitting up on his own and talking up a storm. He loves to cuddle at bed time and read books with Dad. We gave him banana's for the first time and he loved them. It was all over everything. We have stopped using his bib because he tries to eat it. Without the bib he can focus on the food :) But it's sure a mess, but so fun! They grow up so fast you have to enjoy every moment because it changes tomorrow with something new and amazing.

Lazy AZ Afternoon

Chase and I spent the afternoon over at Megan and Aaron's house. We had Thai food for lunch and then moved outside for a relaxing swim. Megan had a Boeing 757 blow up airplane that Chase enjoyed. He was just kicking back and relaxing. They also have two dogs that Chase absolutely loved. Wolfy (the dog) loved to kiss Chase and he was just rolling around and laughing. I think they had a crush XOXOX!!! It was the cutest thing ever. We might have to get a dog in the future :)

Loves the Water

Over the last week we have really noticed how much Chase loves the water. Yesterday we went over to out neighbors house for a little swim. He was in the pool for a while with his Dad. He was great the whole time. He was splashing and having a grand time. He is still in love with his bath. Nana came to visit last week while Nick was traveling for work. We had a great time with her. New Addition

We got a Motor Home!!! We're really excited. We thought it would be a fun thing to do as a family. Chase is going to be the perfect age in a little bit for camping, boating and hanging out with friends and family. It will also be nice during the middle of the summer to head up North to get out of the heat. We really enjoy the Heber/Overguard area. It's beautiful!! It's about 2 hours from our house. We're going to take the Motor Home on it's first trip the second week in October to Lake Mead. We will keep you posted :)

Chase just turned 6 months old. He is growing up so fast. We're so lucky to have such a healthy and happy baby. We went to the pediatrician for him 6 month check up. He is 18 pounds 5 ounces and 26 1/2 inches long. He is very healthy and right on track with his weight and height. He is starting to sleep better :) Awesome for mom!!! We gave him carrots yesterday for the first time and he loved them...He was a real mess but very happy. He is very close to sitting up on his own. He steamrolls through the house to get around. It's adorable!!

So Much Fun

Sorry for the delay. We just got back from Salt Lake and I haven't had a lot of time. We had a great time visiting Salt Lake. We spent most of the time with family. The first part of the trip we stayed with the Ellerbeck's. We had a great time. We went out to the Sand Dunes for a day. Nick was able to ride with his Dad and sister. They had a great time. He was able to Ski the course at Utah Lake only once due to the weather, but it was fun for him. The second part of the trip we mainly spent up at my parents cabin at Bear Lake. It was very relaxing and a great time. The guys played some golf and we went out on the boat for some wake boarding.
We had the lake to ourselves, it was awesome. We went to the Miller's for an awesome dinner. It was great to see those guys and also the Shupe's with their twins. Beautiful baby boys! We got to see the VanOtten's and their baby bump. Their excepting a baby that is due on Chase's Birthday, March 4th. We love those guys!!!
We didn't get to see everyone. We had a very full schedule. We promise next trip that we will have time to see you guys. Sorry :( Thank you so much to Nick's parents and mine for a wonderful visit. We appreciate everything that you guys did for us. We're very lucky!!

Sorry So Slow

Picture Update

It's been a while since we have put new pictures on the blog. Everything in AZ is going great. Chase is 5 months old and trying to sit up. We think within the next couple of weeks he will have it. He spends a lot of time rolling on the ground from toy to toy. It took him a couple of months to like his stomach, but he is liking it now! Nick is keeping very busy with work and doing GREAT at it. He is spending most of his time working on the new 787 airplane. COOL JOB!! It's been 4 weeks since my surgery and I'm starting to feel better. I'm still very sore from trying to heal, but it's getting better daily. I'm going to be starting Physical Therapy in the next couple of weeks. From this surgery and my C-Section I really need to work on building my core muscles. We're going to be leaving for SLC on August
30th for a week. We're looking forward to seeing family, friends, and a break from the heat. We've been lucky this year because it's been a much more mild summer. We have only had a couple days above 110, so that is a great change from last summer. Love you all!!!! XOXOXOXOXO

Life after Surgery

It has been just over 2 weeks since I had my surgery. I'm starting to feel a lot better. The first 10 days were very uncomfortable and painful. Everything went very well and the doctors told me I should feel like a new person by 6 weeks. Great News! We're so lucky to have help from our Mom's. My mom came and stayed for 2 weeks and Nick's mom came in for a long weekend. I'm not able to pick up Chase for 3 weeks. It's killing me!!!! Thanks to everyone for all the calls, cards, flowers and much needed help. We're very lucky to have such great friends and family. We're going to be making a trip to SLC the first week of September. Would love to see you all XOXOXOX. I have attached a recent picture of Chase. He just turned 5 months and he is so much fun. He has starting rolling over and being a very busy body. He keeps us busy all the time!

Herniated Disc/Back Surgery

Hi Everyone! I have attached a picture of the MRI of my Spine that I just had completed. Since Memorial Day after wake boarding, I have been having serious issues and pain with my lower back. It's something that I have had problems with on and off since 2001. The difference with this time is that the my L3-L4 disc has herniated and is effecting my nerve root. My L4-L5 disc is also bulging. We meet with the Orthopaedic Surgeon on July 16th and he thinks surgery is the only way to go. I have been dealing with numbness and pinching pain for over 6 weeks, so I'm actually really looking forward to having the surgery done. It has made being a full time Mom and wife very difficult. I'm looking forward to being able to play and pick up Chase without so much pain. It has limited my actives. I haven't been able to drive a car or do much on my own for the past month. Nick has been amazing!! I guess 2008 is just going to be the year of surgeries for me. I was just starting to feel about normal from my C-Section and I have to go under the knife again. I'm only going to have to be in the hospital overnight (24 hours) with a 6 week recovery. My mom is going to come down on Tuesday July 22nd the day before and stay for a couple of weeks. She is really a lifesaver. We wouldn't be able to get through this without her help. She is going to take care of little Chase for us. Thanks Mom for being so amazing and supportive. We're very lucky to have you!

4th of July

We decided at the last minute to go up to my parents house at Bear Lake for the 4th. It was perfect because the Ellerbeck's didn't have any plans so it just worked great. It was such a great trip. Chase did awesome again on the airplane. He is becoming a very good little traveler. Everybody enjoyed visiting, wake boarding, tubing (yes, we did get Scott Ellerbeck on the tube) and eating (of course). Thanks Mom and Dad for having us at your beautiful home. It's always such a great time. Love you all!

4 Months and Growing

How time flies!!! Chase is just over 4 months old.
He just had his 4 month check up. He is healthy
and growing. He is 15 pounds 9 ounces and 24.5 inches
long. He is starting to be so much fun. He has figured
out how to use his voice and is really talkative and loud.
Of course it's in baby talk so we have no idea what he
is saying. He is full or smiles and giggles. He has giggled
a couple of times and it's adorable. Being a parent is an
amazing adventure and we're very blessed to have Chase baby!

Chase's First SLC Trip

We finally made it back to Salt Lake for a visit. Nick was traveling with work up to Seattle so I thought it was a perfect time to visit. We had a great time. We spent a lot of time with both my family and the Ellerbecks.. I don't have any pictures of the time with the Ellerbecks. Scott can you spend me some pictures, so I can update the sideshow? We stayed with my Mom and Dad. It was so nice to be in their house and spend some time together. They went out of their way to make everything perfect for us. They made sure that Chase felt like he was at home. Thank you so much!!! XOXOX We went up to Bear Lake with Danyell and Jessie. Jessie is growing up so fast and she is adorable. The kids had a fun time together. It was kindof a cold couple of days but it was so worth it. Bear Lake is one of my favorite places to spend time. It was very lonely without Nick :( Bear Lake is going to be a big part of Chase's life so I'm glad that we got him up there early. We didn't have a crib up there so he slept in a drawer. He was very happy! It was a great idea MOM and DAD! We went out to the Ellerbeck's a couple of different times. Thanks so much for the great dinners and company!! The trip ended up being too short. I didn't get to see everyone. I really wanted to see Whit, Lindsey, Brittany and Schauee. We're coming up in August and I promise we will see you all at that time. Chase did great on the airplane and the whole trip. He was a great little traveler. Salt Lake was so peaceful and beautiful. I love going home when I have a chance. Memorial Day Weekend with Scott & Debby

Scott and Debby came to visit over Memorial Day Weekend. We had a nice visit. The weather was much cooler then normal. The boys went to the lake on Saturday Morning. It was raining so they had the lake to themselves. They had perfect water and a great time. I was able to get out on the boat on Sunday. It was the first time I had wakeboarded or skied since I was pregnant. It was so much fun! Chase had a great time with his Grandparents!

Grandpa & Nana Jager Come to Visit

What a GREAT week and visit with my parents. They came in town for my Cousin Wendy's wedding. We went to a couple different wedding events, boating, and of course the boys went golfing. It was a beautiful week with awesome weather and company. Nana did some babysitting so that I could get out to the lake and also play 9 holes of golf with Nick. Thank you so much for the perfect visit. It's always very sad to see you guys go. Chase will miss his Nana and Grandpa. See you in SLC in a couple of weeks...I'm so excited :)

1st Mothers Day

What an awesome thing being a mom is. It was my first Mothers Day and it was great. Nick made me breaksfast in the morning and then I golfing with my girlfriends and returned home to an awesome dinner!!! What a guy! It was a ton of fun. Nick stayed home with Chase and watched him for over 5 hours. It was a beautiful day and felt great to spend some time outstide. I was so excited to get home to my boys! Chase just had his 2 month check up. He is growing so fast. He is 12 pounds 12 ounces and over 22 inches old. He had to get 3 different shots and it broke my heart when he got them. He didn't like them very much. He was sore the night after the shots but started feeling better the next morning. I'm very blessed to be a Mother to such a sweet baby boy! I'm also very grateful from Nick. He is an amazing husband and father :)

Grandma Debby Comes to Visit

Grandma Debby came to AZ to visit for a couple of days. It was so great having her around. Mother's and Grandma's are such amazing people. They make everything great. She was able to spend some good quality time with Chase. On Friday Afternoon she went to the lake with Nick. They has a great time sharing the afternoon together. It was a short visit and it was sad to see her go. Thanks Grandma Debby for the visit!
